Done In a Day

The Junior League of Lee County provides volunteer time in the community helping with small defined projects that can be "Done in a Day."  Many League members find these short, limited projects very fulfilling.

If you are an organization in need with a small project that JLLC members can take on or help with in the year ahead, please contact the DIAD Co-Chairs,

Summer Vaughan ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) & Katherine Bentley ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .)

JLLC assisted several groups and agencies during the 2008-09 year through our DIAD programs.  Volunteer hours were spent assisting programs such as Auburn Parks & Rec's Adventures in Art programs, Opelika Mainstreet's Christmas in a Railroad Town, ACHR's arts and theatre programs, DHR's Clothe a Kid program and Jule Collins Smith Museum's Stories in Arts & other programs to name a few.

League members also generously donated items such as notebooks for journaling to Auburn Early Ed, toys to Toys for Tots Christmas gift program, and baby items like wipes and diapers to the East Alabama Food Bank for the Baby Manna program which was originally started in conjuction with JLLC.

The numerous contributions of both time and product by JLLC members have truly impacted the lives of countless deserving children in Lee County.
