Art Walk/Run for Children 2010

The Junior League Art Walk/Run for Children is one of three primary fundraisers for the Junior League of Lee County. The funds raised support various community organizations that focus on arts and literacy for children in Lee County. Specific organizations funded in 2009-2010 include:

Child Advocacy Center – Art and Play Therapy Program
City of Auburn Parks & Recreation – Adventures in Art Program
Dean Road Elementary School - Expressing Ourselves and Learning Together Project
Jules Collins Museum of Fine Art
Lee County Literacy Coalition
LynnTerra Ballet - Introduction to Dance for School Children Program
JLLC “Done- in- A Day" Program

When & Where: Saturday April 3, 2010 at Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art · 8:30 a.m. Registration · 9:15 a.m. Timed Run · 9:30 a.m. Walk

Distance of Routes: Choose to walk (1.5 miles or 5K) or run (5K)

Registration: Includes T-shirt and goodie bag · On or before March 15, 2009 $15 · After March 15, 2010 $20 · Children 10 and under free · Children’s T-shirts are $10 Registrations received after March 15 are not guaranteed a T-shirt.

Pet Friendly Event: Pets on leashes are welcome to participate in the walk/run but will not be admitted to the museum.

Jule Collins Smith Museum of Fine Art: Open all day Saturday, April 3 with free admission to all walk/run participants. Special activities will be available for children.

Art Walk/Run Sponsorships Available:

· $150 – John Marion: signage at event, 1 registration, 1 t-shirt, a color ad in our JLLC newsletter, and sponsor name listing on JLLC website

· $350 – Georgia O’Keefe: t-shirt listing, signage, 3 registrations, 3 t-shirts, a color ad in our JLLC newsletter, and sponsor name listing on JLLC website

· $500 – Romare Bearden: t-shirt listing, signage, 5 registrations, 5 t-shirts, a color ad in our JLLC newsletter, and sponsor name listing on JLLC website

· $750 – John James Audubon: t-shirt listing, signage, 10 registrations, 10 t-shirts, a color ad in our JLLC newsletter, and sponsor name listing on JLLC website.
